for表原因，后面可以是名词、代词或短语。

很抱歉我来晚了。

be sure to do sth.确信做某事，肯定要做某事，表将来。
如：我们确信能做好这件事。

如果确信后面的主语和前面的主语是同一人，就用“be sure to do sth”，如果确信后面的主语和前面的主语不是同一人就用“be sure that…”
