I am so exhausted…but in a good way. This morning I arrived in Budapest - the capital city of Hungary. This city is truly beautiful…and definitely the hottest city on my trip so far!
I guess the highlights of today were just exploring the city’s winding streets and the fab little restaurant where I stopped for a bite to eat.

It’s around lunchtime on my second day here in Budapest and I have been hanging out with a really funny Australian girl called Alice…it’s been so nice hearing someone else’s travel stories and she really made me laugh.

Three days not fair…Budapest is so pretty; I just wish I had more time here. Alice was a bit under the weather this morning, so I headed off to investigate the famous Royal Palace…I’ve got to say that I felt like a bit of a celebrity wandering round the impressive palace grounds…I’ve always wondered how the rich and famous lived.

Wow! What a day…this morning I soaked up the sunshine whilst walking around the old town and this afternoon I bathed happily in one of Budapest’s famous bathhouses. The city is built over natural mineral water springs – both warm and cool - therefore taking baths is a popular way of relaxing…I wasn’t just having a wash!

Well, I spent my last day here in Budapest by taking loads of photos of the Danube River and many of its magnificent bridges. I can feel myself ready to cry, as tomorrow I will leave Budapest, its friendly people, fabulous food and my new friend Alice….
